Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) has welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of India.
In a statement issued by the General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, commended the leadership of both neighboring nations for their wise and responsible decision to prioritize diplomacy, dialogue, and the higher national interests of their peoples in defusing tensions and avoiding escalation.
His Excellency further praised the swift and constructive response by both countries, reflecting a shared commitment to peace and stability in the region. He affirmed the Muslim World League’s full support for all efforts that promote peaceful coexistence, mutual understanding, and long-term prosperity for the peoples of Pakistan and India.
