The Muslim World League Condemns Attack on UN Humanitarian Convoy in Sudan

The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the heinous attack on a United Nations humanitarian convoy in Sudan, which resulted in the tragic loss of several aid workers and the destruction of critical relief supplies.

In a statement issued by its General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced the targeting of civilians, relief organizations, and their personnel, stressing that such acts constitute a grave violation of international and humanitarian laws and norms. Furthermore, His Excellency reaffirmed the imperative to uphold international legal frameworks that safeguard civilians, civilian infrastructure, and aid workers, and to ensure the unhindered delivery of life-saving assistance to those in need.

He further expressed the MWL’s unwavering solidarity and sincere sympathy with its partners in the United Nations during this tragic event, extending his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of this treacherous attack and conveying his wishes for a swift and full recovery to the injured.
